Today I visited the new grand opening of Shalimar in Bellevue. It had tons of parking and the same delicious food. There was a beautiful waterfall much like the one in the University District, with the addition of a cozy fire place. overall its a five star for me. :)
Me and my boyfriend have liked Shalimar at the University District for quite a while. Then we moved to the east side and couldn't make it out there as often. We were thrilled to see the new location in Bellevue, the food is as great as usual, and the service is excellent.
This place is a
"Mashallah" restaurant! Apart from the fantastic food, I appreciate the fact that much effort was put into the aesthetics of the environment. It really does set the tone, making the whole Shalimar experience even more enjoyable! It being halal is very convenient as its just minutes away from the UW campus, making it possible for many MSA members to eat halal whenever they want to.
Are you sure about Halal food, no where it's mentioned that they serve Halal food. Aprt from it I have seen some where about alcoholic beverages.
After years of enjoying dinner at Shalimar in the U District, we were very happy to see they had opened a branch on our side of the lake. Lunch today was delicious, the service impeccable, and the place (the former Andre's) is warm and beautifully decorated. Highly recommended.
